Seasoned Art Director & Graphic Designer based in Los Angeles

With over 15 years of experience in the fashion and merchandise industry, I’ve led creative product strategies for in-house and licensed collections in partnership with major clothing brands, professional sports leagues, and worldwide entertainment properties.

I’m no stranger to spearheadeding projects from research and concept stages through final production, while also leading junior designers and fostering their growth to do the same.

I’m passionate about collaboration and teamwork, focusing on what’s authentic, ethical, and exciting in order to bring out the best in what we create.

In my down time I enjoy taking hikes with my wife and dog, playing rec league softball, and experimenting with homemade cocktails.

Career Experience

  • Senior Manager - Merchandise Design (June 2022 - Present)

    • Lead design and product development for apparel, headwear, and merchandise across all company IPs, including seasonal collections, trend-focused capsules, event-specific assortments, and purpose-driven initiatives (ex. inclusion, charity, awareness). Plan and develop yearly calendar of product launches.

    • Spearhead art direction and creative strategy for multi-million-dollar in-house trading card sets, driving visual storytelling opportunities in conjuction with brand-growth objectives.

    • Direct the creative strategy for The Lacrosse Network, relaunching the brand into the trend-driven, sports lifestyle space and achieving a 10x revenue increase within the first year.

    • Manage art direction, design feedback, and final approvals with all brand partnerships and product vendors.

  • Senior Graphic Designer (Aug 2016 - May 2022)

    • Led design for licensed sports division, managing a remote team of four designers to create artwork for seasonal collections, trend-forward capsules, and private-label programs for clients which included Levi’s, the Los Angeles Rams, wEAr by Erin Andrews, Old Navy, and more.

    • Directed and designed co-branded apparel programs in partnership with the NFL and NBA, producing limited edition collabs with Disney, Marvel, Warner Bros., and MTV, among other major pop-culture IPs.

    • Developed pitch decks and mood boards for all apparel programs, and presented concepts during internal and external partnership meetings. Researched emerging trends in fashion, culture, sports, and entertainment to create relevant, brand-right apparel programs.

  • Head Graphic Designer (July 2014 - July 2016)

    • Designed original and licensed graphics for men's, women's, and children's apparel for fast fashion, department store, resort, and outlet retailers.

  • Freelance Graphic Designer (June 2014 - Aug 2014)

    • Created original artwork for men’s and boys’ fast fashion tees and fleece, translating seasonal trend reports into commercially successful graphics for mass-market appeal.

  • Associate Graphic Designer (Jan 2011 - Jan 2014)

    • Designed and hand-illustrated artwork for Hollister men’s apparel, maintaining the established brand DNA while introducing fresh seasonal concepts.

    • Served as lead designer for men’s activewear graphics and trims, developing elevated applications for performance and lifestyle crossover apparel.
